Ireland Road Trip - June 2018

Arrival day in Ireland at the start of June, with the longest daylight hours of the year ahead. Phone photos only on this trip, predating the GoMoveShift dashcam setup.

A day in County Clare, traveling from O'Dea's to Glenroe. With sunset after 10pm in early June, the long daylight hours gave plenty of time for 46 phone photos along the route.

A cross-country drive from the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis through County Limerick to the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary, one of Ireland's most recognizable medieval sites. The route continued south through Cahir to County Cork, producing 106 photos.

Following the Cork coastline from Ballycottin and Garryvoe westward to Crookhaven and Mizen Head, the southwesternmost point of mainland Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way. The day covered a long stretch of the West Cork coast.

A drive around the Beara Peninsula, starting from Glengarriff in West Cork and crossing into County Kerry at Banawn before reaching Kenmare. The heaviest photo day of the trip with 187 images, continuing south to Darrynane on the Iveragh Peninsula.

A rest day mid-trip after five consecutive driving days. Only 3 photos taken, with just over an hour of activity logged.

A day along the Clare coast to the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland's most visited natural attraction, with sheer drops of over 200 metres into the Atlantic. The route ran from Ballysteen to the clifftop area, producing 68 photos in the long June daylight.

A full day exploring the Hooked area with 119 photos taken over more than 22 hours of activity. The longest single-day photo session of the trip, taking full advantage of June's extended Irish daylight.

A day that combined a drive from Sligo with a trip to Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands off the Galway coast. Locations included Dun Aonghasa, the Bronze Age cliff fort, and Kilmurvey Craft Village. The day ended via Bunratty in County Clare.

A transit day heading from Knigh in north Tipperary toward Dublin, passing through Parkers of Riverstown. The day ended at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel near Dublin, with 11 photos along the way.

A day on foot in central Dublin, covering Temple Bar, St Patrick's Cathedral, and the streets around Wood Quay and the Mansion House. The 69 photos document the city's medieval core and south-side landmarks.

A drive south from Bray into the Wicklow Mountains, passing through Kilmacanoge, Calary, and Powerscourt before reaching the monastic site at Glendalough in the glacial valley. Saint Kevin's Cemetery and the round tower are among Ireland's best-known early Christian ruins.

A short drive from Templetown in County Wexford to Waterford city, Ireland's oldest city founded by Vikings in 914 AD. The Granville Hotel on the quayside served as the overnight stop, with 24 photos from the day.

A cross-country drive from Waterford westward through Tramore, County Kilkenny, and Tipperary town before finishing in Ennis, County Clare. The route cut through Ireland's agricultural heartland across four counties.

The final day of the trip in Clenagh, County Clare, with a single photo to close out 15 days and nearly 600 phone photos across Ireland.
